Online Booking System Developed for Porsche Club Motorsport

Online Booking System Developed for Porsche Club Motorsport

As 2018 drew to a close one of our major projects was launched by our client Porsche Club Motorsport, an online trackday booking module.

We worked with them over the year to understand how they worked and to see what could be done to streamline their processes and improve productivity.

It was wasnt long before we could see how the benefits of an online booking system for the 21 trackdays could make significant improvements for the office as well as for the participants. We worked with the office staff and their IT team, and involved the circuits as we developed a bespoke system that would streamline the way the whole process was carried out, from taking the booking, filling out indemnity forms, taking special requirements and finally payment. Once this process was completed all the paperwork was generated and emailed to the participant ready for their trackday.

In mid December Porsche Club Motorsport launched the new system with a significant increase in bookings over the old “analogue” system.

Wales Rally GB 2018 saw a milestone for one of the UKs most famous rally co-drivers, Nicky Grist and his 4 time World Rally Champion Juha Kankkunen, as they celebrated their 25th anniversary of their 1993 RAC Rally win.

MotorvationPR were asked to assist with the organisation of the presentation and create the framed prints presented to them in the service park, on the finishing ramp with their newly restored Toyota Celica and the Peall Trophy.

After the presentation an autograph session was arranged where a number of special prints, postcards and other memorabilia were signed.

Throughout the event MotorvationPR were involved with the general organisation helping to look after VIP requests and hosting Network Q and their guests on the Sunday finale on the promenade in Llandudno.

Top hill climb cars attended Carfest South this year, supporting BBC Children In Need, whilst also promoting the sporting discipline of hill climbing.

Six time British Champion Scott Moran, who attended North, was also in action at South in his Gould, with Simon Fidoe in the Empire.

Both events couldn’t have been more different, Bolesworth Castle (North) was bathed in 30 degree sunshine, whilst the newly redesigned track at Laverstoke Park (South) designed by Jody Scheckter and Ross Brawn, was wet and quite a few degrees cooler.

Both cars got some good runs in on Friday and Saturday but Sunday the running of the cars was curtailed due to the torrential downpours.

MotorvationPR was delighted to help Carfest and BBC Children In Need in sourcing and providing these cars for this wonderful event.
